Wastegate Chatter … 11: “Don’t blame me, Dunko!”

In this job, you can be extremely fortunate to ride with some pretty quick punters. Over the years I’ve ridden with some of the best: Neil Allport, Rob Herridge, Ed Ordynski, Bob Nicoli, Greg Carr, Neal Bates, Geoff Portman and Hayden Paddon, to name a few.

All have been very enjoyable rides in a variety of different cars, from Group N to Group A, right through to late model Rally2 cars.

I'd been for a ride with Dunkerton in his Ralliart Galant VR4 at a press day for the Esanda in 1990, but that run was slowed in parts because of a fuel pump problem that seemed to surface every time we entered a corner.
