Arron Windus has totally dominated the sixth round of the Victorian Rally Championship, winning all 10 stages. Driving a Subaru Impreza WRX, Windus was never threatened in the Western Victorian Crane Trucks Valley Stages, taking a three and a half minute win with co-driver Daniel Brick. The early demise of his father, Darren, in another Subaru, and the retirement of JJ Hatton's Hyundai enabled Brendan Reeves and Ben Searcy to secure second place. This was Reeves' first drive in a Ford Escort, and he drove brilliantly to finish over a minute clear of Chris Higgs' Lancer. Justin Walker took fourth in another Escort, while Warren Lee rounded out the top five in a Lancer Evo 9. After rain during Saturday's reconnaissance and on Saturday night, Sunday's 10 stages were held in fine conditions with the roads remarkably dry. The rally was held over five stages run twice, starting with the popular Mt Slide, and finishing with a run down the tarmac on Chum Creek Road. The second stage was cut short after youngster Josh Bohm crashed heavily in his Nissan, blocking the road. In the Victorian Club Rally Series event that ran in conjunction, Cody Richards continued his winning run with victory in his Ford Escort. He was 24 seconds clear of Daryl King's Toyota Corolla, with Brian Newton third in a Honda Civic. Full Valley Stages results HERE.
