Well here's your chance!
Â
The Western Australian Rally Panel has organised a very special event for those who'd like to either have a go at rally driving and/or have a ride in full house rally cars.
On October 31, the hills to the east of Perth will host the "Come 'n' try Rally. The event will be based out of the Hills Discovery Centre, Mundaring Weir Rd, Mundaring.
Â
A special 2km gravel rally circuit has been set where participants are able to have a go at rally driving in road cars and also have rally rides with experienced rally competitors.
Â
During the day, there'll be plenty to see and do. Whether it be; having a rally ride, spectating sideways rally action or having a go at rally driving yourself.
Members of WA's rally car clubs and experienced competitors will be on hand to chat to interested people, share their rally experiences and answer questions. Those interested in driving can also receive tuition from some of the "pros" of the sport.
Whilst the rally driving is limited to those that have a driver's licence, younger people are able to have rally rides.
This event is not just for the boys either! Any girls or ladies are most welcome and may be surprised to find out how many females actually compete in WA rallying.
Â
This event is aimed at anyone interested in rallying. No experience is necessary and no specialist clothing or safety equipment is required.
All that we ask is that participants wear a long sleeve shirt, long pants (jeans are fine) and flat soled covered shoes. Sorry, no thongs or high heels.
Â
Rally ride entrants will also have the opportunity to provide rides for service crew and sponsors as part of their entry.
