The African Zulu Rally is the lastest rally pushing to host a round of the World Rally Championship.
The rally, which takes place from May 25-27, already forms part of the FIA Africa championship.
"The local support for this event is phenomenal," said clerk of the course Richard Leeke.
The organisers believe the event has one of the best rally courses in the world.
The Zulu Rally is round three of the Sasol South African National Rally Championship Series.
