The Raymond Partners Accountants Rally Team, consisting of brothers Glen and Matt Raymond, will not be contesting the 2011 Australian Rally Championship.

The young and exciting crew, who is one of the top teams in the Australian Rally Championship, has withdrawn from the series due to lack of sponsorship.

“We have all put in a huge effort to try and put together a program for the championship this year, however it was to no avail,” said disappointed driver Glen Raymond. “It is frustrating as we have the car and results, but there are just no opportunities available.”

Raymond, who won the latest round of the Australian Rally Championship, is thankful for the support he has received. “For a low budget team, we have far exceeded our own and other people’s expectations. I cannot thank all my supporters enough, but I have to especially thank my family who have sacrificed a lot to help me get where I am today.”

Despite not competing in the Australian Rally Championship, Glen Raymond will still have a busy year.

“I will spend this year trying to put together a program for next year, but I will also be flat out helping my brother Steve try to win the Victorian Rally Championship.”

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X built by the team in the family shed last summer is now for sale.
