The Australian Motor Sport Foundation (AMSF) is back on board with Australian rally driver Molly Taylor, kicking off a brand new raffle fundraising campaign for the 2014 season. Taylor, now the World No. 1 ranked female rally driver, has her sights set on the Junior World Rally Championship, something which she is hoping to make possible with support from her fans.
Coming off the back of the hugely popular 'Molly Raffle' of 2012, the AMSF has worked hard to create what has been dubbed 'The Ultimate Motor Sport Prize Pool'. This year’s raffle will consist of multiple prizes, drawn each fortnight, beginning on April 4, and finishing with the grand prize being drawn on May 16.
The grand prize includes a holiday for two to the 2014 Formula One Santander British Grand Prix, taking place at the UK’s iconic Silverstone Circuit later this year. Closer to home, the runner up will be given the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Ferrari F430 around Sydney Motorsport Park. With thanks to V-Sport, a GoPro Hero3 will be given away to another lucky winner, along with a 700ml bottle of the award winning Johnnie Walker Blue Label Whisky.
But you don’t have to wait until May to win. Each fortnight a mini prize draw will be held, starting with 2 x four-day grandstand tickets up for grabs to the 2014 Formula One Rolex Australian Grand Prix. If that’s not enough, the AMSF has also pulled together a smorgasbord of hot laps with leading Australian drivers from various categories. For V8 enthusiasts, there’s a hot lap ride with V8 Supercar driver Rick Kelly, and a ride with V8 Utes driver Nathan Pretty. For those who prefer the thrill of stunt driving, there’s the chance to jump in the passenger seat with HotWheels stunt driver, Matt Mingay. Finally, something for the true rally fans, the opportunity to experience what it is that makes Taylor love her sport so much, with a hot lap with four time Australian Rally Champion, Neal Bates.
“The Chairman of the Australian Motor Sport Foundation, Geoff Morgan, and the AMSF Directors are excited to once again support this initiative. Molly Taylor is a great ambassador for the Foundation and rallying. After a successful season culminating in being crowned the 2013 FIA European Ladies Rally Champion, the proceeds from this raffle will create the opportunity for Molly to continue her progress to the Junior World Rally Championship in 2014,” says Michael Stilwell, AMSF Director.
“I am really excited to once again have the support of the AMSF," Taylor said.
"We have all worked really hard to put together something very unique for my supporters and any motorsport enthusiast. The AMSF were fundamental in helping me make the move to Europe in 2009, and have been the backbone of my career ever since. We now have the opportunity to go to the next level this year in the Junior World Rally Championship. This raffle is a key component in making this program possible,” she added.
