Fresh from her victory with brother Brendan Reeves in Lightforce Rally SA, Rhianon Gelsomino has taken victory in the United States on the weekend.

Rhianon Gelsomino and Ryan Millen (centre) celebrate their victory in the Prescott Rally.Co-driving for Ryan Millen, the Californian son of former Kiwi Rod Millen, the pair won the Prescott Rally, a round  of the NASA series in the American Rally Championship.

Millen and Gelsomino were part of the factory Toyota USA team, and drove a two-wheel drive, automatic Toyota RAV4 to victory. The car has a 2-litre, 4-cylinder engine.

They won the 11 stage, 120 mile event by 55 seconds, with positions two to four filled by all-wheel drive Subaru Impreza WRXs.

This was Millen’s first overall win in just his second season of rallying. Until now his main form of motorsport has been desert racing.
