Ben Barker and co-driver Beau Griggs have won the Bega Valley Rally by almost three minutes in their BMW 320is.

Bega's Ben Barker won his home event in his crowd-pleasing BMW.

The pair completed the 10 stages ahead of nearest rivals, Iain Plenderleith and Mel McMinn, in their Mitsubishi Evo, two minutes and 40 seconds in arrears.

Barker and Griggs had a flawless opening day to the event, claiming first place in each of the first five stages to hold a comfortable two minute lead.

They then extended the gap on Sunday, despite meeting some stiffer opposition on the Eden stages.

Third place went to the Escort RS1800 of Dermody/Moynihan (pictured below), with the Valantine/Lewis Nissan Silvia in fourth place.

The top five was rounded out by Gavin Mosher and Ray Baker in a Subaru Impreza WRX.

The event was a round of the NSW AMSAG series.
