2005 Australian Rally Champion, Dale Moscatt, has a busy few weeks ahead of him as he prepares to take on four rallies with four different drivers.

Moscatt, who co-drove for Cody Crocker in 2005, will contest this weekend’s Rally Australia with Chinese driver Xu Lang, before heading off to the Mt Buller Sprint where he will sit beside Channel 7 celebrity Grant Denyer in a MINI Cooper.

Denyer will contest two days of the event, before motoring journalist James Stanford takes over for the final day.

After Mt Buller, Moscatt will fly to New Zealand to contest the NZ round of the WRC with British driver Natalie Barratt. He will then fly home to Sydney, exchange bags at the airport and fly directly to China for their round of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship.

“I’ve got four events in five weeks, so as you can imagine, I’m not too popular at home,” the lanky Sydneysider told RallySport Magazine.

His plans for the 2007 season are still being finalised, but could include a ride in a Super 2000 car in Europe.

Hopes of a co-driving role in next year’s Dakar Rally disappointingly ended after the Nissan team that he and Xu Lang were to drive for withdrew the entry just eight days before entries officially closed.

“I had two other co-driving roles I could have accepted for the Dakar Rally, but after the Nissan entry was withdrawn so late, both those positions had been filled,” Moscatt said.
