There was carnage in the 49th Serbia Rally last weekend when the Ford Fiesta R5 of Rashid Al-Ketbi and Karina Haperle left the road and hit a fence post.

Both crew members were taken to hospital. Al-Ketbi was soon released, but co-driver Haperle was kept in for longer with an injured leg.

The event also claimed local driver Zečević, whose Peugeot 206 RC left the road and hit trees, spectacularly ripping the engine out of the car.
