August’s Myall Stages Rally, to be held at Bulahdelah on the NSW central coast, is offering competitors 40 cash stage awards in an attempt to attract a top quality field.
The event, to run on August 4 and 5, will feature reconnaissance on Saturday and the rally on Sunday, with 146km of special stages. Crews can do recce on the stages up to three times.
Each of the eight stages will have five cash awards, with prizes being awarded for rear-wheel drive cars, front-wheel drives, classics, V8s, young crews, older crews, family crews and crews in the NSW Group 6 championship.
There will also be awards for specific placings on stages, which should ensure a bumper field.
The rally will start and finish at the Buladelah Showgrounds, where the three service breaks will also be held. The entry fee to the event includes two tickets to a Saturday night rally function/buffet dinner.
Organised by the Nissan Datsun Drivers Club, the event will require crews to spend just one night away from home. Supplementary regulations will be available at the end of June.
