Toyota return for their third year as the naming right sponsor for the South Australian round of the Australian Rally Championship, with the event this year being known as the Toyota Kluger Rally of South Australia.

The change in event name will coincide with the launch of the new generation Kluger, which will be launched to the media in the week leading up to the rally. Spectators will get a first hand look at the new car as it is put through its paces as the official course vehicle for the event.

With several ticketing options available for spectators over the weekend, event director, Ivar Stanelis, is encouraging fans to come out and support the teams as they battle it out on the quick roads of SA.

“We have designed this year’s rally to have the best spectating opportunities ever,” Stanelis said.

“We have made several changes since last year to ensure that all fans have the best possible weekend out in the forest, and have provided several different viewing opportunities to cover all types of spectator preference.

“We have reversed the Ridgetops and Forties stages and have added a jump and water splash to the end of Forties, and the cars will pass through the area in a very different way to previous years.

“While this will be spectacular, the most exciting feature will be the four super special stages run under lights on bitumen tracks within the Angaston Oval complex,” he added.

Designed to be a spectator’s dream, the Super Special stages will be run on Friday and Saturday nights, with the ticket price of only $5 for adults and $2 for children.

Spectator passes can be purchased from the Toyota Kluger Rally SA office on (08) 82122800.

The rally runs on August 10-12.
