Young rally driver, Adrian Coppin, has launched his own rally brand, Innate Motorsport.

“Rallying is as much about marketing as it is driving a car fast. And to market yourself you need a brand that people come to associate with you and the values you represent to your market,” Coppin said.

In coming up with the concept, Canberra design studio Inklab wanted to focus on the core values associated with the word Innate. These values are:

• Primal
• Raw
• Inborn
• Instinctive • Ingrained

“Using raw natural patterns, the INNATE Motorsport theme ties the imagery back to a primal, instinctive and exuberant visual style. The rough, brush style lettering also highlights the raw energy of racing, while reinforcing the primal patterns for the young team,” Colin Haining, director at Inklab added.

In addition to the new logo, the branding includes a media release, letterhead and a sponsorship proposal and will be supported by an Innate Motorsport website, and Innate Motorsport branded Facebook and YouTube sites, as well as specially designed clothing.

The team will also debut an eye catching new paint scheme for Rally Calder.

Preparations for the 1st round of the ARC are progressing well and the team will undertake a test day in mid-February, ahead of revealing the new paint scheme.
