DustTrails, Episode 13: Emma’s amazing adventures

If you’d have told Emma Gilmour 12 months ago that she’d be about to suit up for the opening round of the Extreme E series as a factory McLaren driver, she wouldn’t have believed you.

We chatted to Emma from the team’s UK base, before she left for Saudi Arabia this weekend.

The world works in mysterious ways. The Dunedin rally driver and local car dealer is now the first female driver for a team that was started by NZ motor racing legend, Bruce McLaren.

She talked about the Extreme E series, her R5 drive and lies in store for her 2022 rallying and off-road season.
