Rising rally star Brendon (Brendo!) Reeves has entered this weekend’s fourth round of the Tasmanian Rally Series, the Stoneman Garden Centre- Styx Valley Rally.

To be run in the forests made famous by the Southern Safari in the early 1990’s, including the “roller coaster like” Styx River Rd, the event will also include the treacherously slippery Maynes and Andromeda loops.

Reeves’ choice of weapon for the weekend is the Ian Kay-owned Subaru RS car, which he campaigned in last year’s ARC.

Reeves plans to use the rally to gain some valuable experience in slippery, cold conditions as readies himself for an attack on the world scene in the coming years.

Tasmania’s forecast for the next two days is for snow and cold temperatures that are sure to leave some snow in the Styx Valley for Saturday’s event.
