Brendan Reeves and co-driving sister, Rhianon Smyth, are over the moon after their signing with Les Walkden Rallying for three years.

The Victorian pair have been driving under the LWR banner in the first three NEC Australian Rally Championship rounds this year, driving a Group N Subaru Impreza WRX STi.

Brendan may be only 18, but Tasmanian rally stalwart, Les Walkden, has spotted potential.

"It's an amazing opportunity," Reeves said.

Reeves and Smyth are currently sitting in fourth place in the Australian Rally Championship and are looking forward to the final three rounds, starting with the Rally of South Australia next month.

However their long term future could lie overseas. Walkden said in a recent interview that he wanted to give Reeves some exposure in European rallies next year, most likely in a front-wheel drive car.

A firm believer in the youngster’s talent, Walkden aims to fast-track Reeves’ career, possibly even in rounds of the World Rally Championship.
