Newly signed Ford driver, Esapekka Lappi says everything is going to plan so far in 2020 despite not challenging for podium places.
Lappi, who signed with M-Sport Ford after Citroen withdrew from the WRC told of his positive mindset moving forward.
“I have to be pleased with the start to the year,” he said.
“I wanted to be fighting for the podium in Sweden and we weren’t far away.
"We were just missing the last little bit, but when you beat Thierry Neuville it’s always a good result.
“The first two (rounds) have been consistent with no problems. So far, everything is going according to plan, we’ve had no issues from my side or with the car.
“Now we look forward to the gravel and Mexico. I think we can bring the set-up work we have done for Sweden with us. The feeling is good and I have good confidence for Mexico,” added the Finn.
