Magna-ificent: The ugly duckling that won an Australian title

Mitsubishi’s Magna was never seen as a ‘cool’ car, but with Ross Dunkerton at the wheel of a four-wheel drive, Ralliart-inspired version of the car, the Japanese giant was about to change that.

After a successful one-off season in which Mitsubishi ran a two-car team of Magnas, Dunkerton led the way to a unique Australian Rally Championship title.
