The MRF Tyres M-Sport Ford Fiesta R5 will take the World Rally Championship stages this weekend as they move to the Neste Rally Finland.
After a successful debut in the Championship in Italy, MRF Tyres will now tackle one of the legendary events of the Championship in Finland with Gaurav Gill and Glenn Macneall.
Finland is the fastest rally on the WRC calendar and is legendary for its jumps, huge crowds and party atmosphere.
For MRF Tyres, they are looking to learn more about the WRC package.
MRF Tyres learnt a lot of lessons at Rally Italia Sardinia and are looking to take a step forward here to learn to be competitive in what is one of the toughest rallies of the season.
For Gill and Macneall, it is the first time they will compete together on the Finnish roads - where the average speed can be more than 120km/h.
It is an important test for the duo as this rally brings one of the strongest fields of R5 rally cars that is seen anywhere in the world.
The pair completed a test with M-Sport in the week leading up to the event where they worked on car setup and testing the new development tyre.
Given the radically different nature of the stages - going from the rough roads of Italy to the smooth and fast roads of Finland, finding the right setup will be vital.
The drivers will compete 23 special stages over a competitive distance of 317.26km.
It is an important event for MRF Tyres, to compete on legendary rally stages that have been run since the inception of the World Rally Championship.
Hundreds of thousands of spectators will create a party atmosphere in the service park in Jyväskylä and the surrounding districts, which is located about 270km north of Helsinki.
Neste Rally Finland gets underway at 7pm local time on Thursday 26 July and will run over three days culminating in the Powerstage, starting after 1pm on Sunday 29 July.
