In the 2007 Rallye des Femmes, Cathy Donohue, Kate Bowler and Kelly Caruana, all in 2WD cars, tied for the win.
2008 saw Bowler swap sides and co-drive, as she and Donohue teamed up to contest the Rallye des Femme in Donohue’s immaculate PCD Engineering Evo8.
Seeded car 1, the girls had a two minute lead after SS1. The car ran faultlessly and they continued to build on that lead throughout the next four stages, before backing off for the remaining two, with the final gap to second place being five minutes after seven stages.
Cathy Donohue has now won this event three times, including back to back victories in 2007 and 2008. Kate Bowler has won the event as both a driver (2007) and a co-driver (2008). Both are records in the history of this event.
