Rallycorp, the commercial arm of the NEC Australian Rally Championship (ARC), have announced a partnership with Colonial First State.
Colonial First State will be joining the NEC ARC as a platform sponsor for the 2007 season and will help to boost the profile of the exhilarating six round national championship.
The sponsorship deal will help to improve the NEC ARC with all money being returned to event organisers through the provision of essential services such as Motorsport Safety and Rescue, and Blacktree Technology timing and tracking.
Rallycorp Director, Garry Connelly, who facilitated the sponsorship deal, is excited about the future benefits the partnership will bring to the NEC ARC.
“The partnership with Colonial First State is an exciting new opportunity for the sport and will give Colonial First State an opportunity to take advantage of what the NEC ARC has to offer,” said Connelly.
“Rally sponsorship continues to branch outside the automotive sector, providing an excellent platform for cross-promotion and business to business opportunities,” he said.
The platform sponsorship grants Colonial First State access to signage on NEC ARC cars and course stages and will allow it to hold corporate hospitality programs at each event. Colonial First State will also hold a corporate ride day using NEC ARC teams later in the year for key clients and dealers.
Colonial First State General Manager, Marketing, Danielle Murrie said: “It’s a great pleasure for us to be supporting the NEC Australian Rally Championship throughout 2007.
“The sponsorship is a significant opportunity for Colonial First State, and we’re very pleased to be able to contribute to important services such as Motorsport Safety & Rescue and Blacktree Technology timing and tracking through our support of the event,” she said.
Ms Murrie said the synergies between Colonial First State and the NEC Australian Rally Championships are clear.
“Colonial First State is dedicated to delivering long term high performance to our clients. As such, it’s a great fit for us to be supporting the fast paced, high performers who participate in this Championship. Our support of the NEC ARC complements the other sponsorship we currently have with another great Australian event, the Sydney Half-Marathon,” she said.
Colonial First State will be present at the QUIT Forest Rally WA, round two of the NEC ARC, held in the Busselton and Nannup region on April 28-29th.
