News that Emil Lindholm has been chosen as this year’s Future Rally Star of Finland came as no great surprise, given his family progeny.

Currently the most celebrated rallying dynasty is the other side of Finland’s northern borders in Norway with the famous Solberg family, but propagating the rallying species has long been a proud Finnish tradition.

In the early ‘80s the Finnish family activities was a favourite topic in the national media at the time when the World Championship came to town for the 1000 Lakes Rally.

Drivers stayed at the rally headquarters Rantasipi Hotel and were encouraged to parade the next generation rally families for all to admire!
