Canberra’s round of the NSW Rally Championship in October, the Brindabella Stages, has been cancelled.

“Despite the NSW Rally Panel’s best efforts to have the event retained, the Brindabella Motor Sports Club has advised that it won’t be running the event as part of the State series, but will be running the postponed Rallye des Femmes on that date,” Rally NSW said.

“Whilst this is disappointing for NSWRC competitors, we need to recognise that BMSC has done more than its fair share of organising rallies in 2017. At short notice, it successfully organised the National Capital Rally in May as part of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship, Australian Rally Championship and Gary’s Motorsport Tyres NSW Rally Championship.

“The club is also organising the Narooma Forest Rally on July 22 as Round 3 of the TechWorkz Development Rally Series and Premier Panel Beating Hyundai Rally Series. And finally, it will be running the 40th anniversary Rallye des Femmes on October 14.”

The next round of the NSW Rally Championship will be the AMH Automotive Rally of the Bay on August 12.
