The fifth North Eastern Car Club Rally Bonnie Doon is set for a shake up on Saturday, March 26.

With new stages and the option for crews to pacenote on Friday, March 25, the event will provide the perfect shakedown for ARC, VRC and VCRS crews heading into the 2011 season.

After record rains in late 2010 and early this year, Lake Eildon is now at 78% capacity with water flowing under the famous Bonnie Doon bridge.  With these changes, organisers decided it was time for some changes in the event as well.

Entries will be limited to 60, so you’ll need to get in fast.  First in…. well….. you’ll be goin’ to Bonnie Doon!   Approx 90km competitive over four stages, repeated twice will make the event easy to note and continue with the compact formula that you have all grown to love.

Classes for PRC, Group N, Classic and Club Rally as well as Excel Series cars means that there is a class for everyone, all eligible for outright awards.  All driver grades are eligible as well as interstate crews.

Retaining the ever favourite Barjarg Road stage and a longer version of the downhill challenge, Ferraris Rd, crews will also get two new stages, not rallied on for decades.

Starting at the Bonnie Doon Hotel, a central service park at Lake Nillahcootie and event finishing back at the Hotel, crews and their family and friends will then be able to wind down at the post event presentation overlooking Lake Eildon, now with water!
