Rob Parry and Leigh Garrioch made the most of their dust-free run to take a 17 second win in the Nissan Nightmoves Rally in the Victorian goldfields on Saturday night.

Driving a powerful Datsun 1600 (right), the pair finished the event just ahead of the similar car of Sean Hudgson and Phil Nicholas (below).

The event was held in the tricky Whroo Forest, near Rushworth, and both leading navigators had to battle car sickness on the night.

Third place went to the Datsun Stanza of Cary Seabrook and Rhiannon Philpot-Hale, with another Datsun 1600, that of David Wellings and Doug Fernie, fourth.

The first non-Datsun home was the Ford Escort of Troy and Sam Brendel, with Mark and Cody Richards' Escort in sixth place.

The event was a round of the Victorian Club Rally Series and consisted of four stages run twice, organised by the Nissan Car Club of Australia.
