Volkswagen Polo driver Scott Simpson has won the SuperCharge Batteries Circle Hill Rallysprint against a star-studded field.
The rallysprint uses some of the popular shire roads from the annual Otago Rally, with competitors completing four runs of the stage.
Simpson finished the day with a fastest time of 3m31.51s, just under second clear of Matt Summerfield in a Mitsubishi Mirage, with Emma Gilmour in third place in a borrowed Ford Fiesta.
A pair of fast Lancer Evos driven by Mike Wellington and Dean Bond were fourth and fifth, with the Richie Chadwick the first two-wheel drive finisher in his Toyota Levin, in seventh place.
The Circle Rallysprint attracted a full field of 50 competitors, and was organised by the Otago Sports Car Club.
