After months of hard work leading up to Rally Calder, the opening round of the 2012 Bosch Australian Rally Championship, the Brakes Direct – Berry Brothers Motorsport team have had an awesome start to 2012 with some outstanding results.

With Dane Berry and Nathan Long taking 1st place in the 4WD class of the Rallyschool.com.au Australian Junior Challenge, and at the same time finishing 5th overall in the outright 4WD Class. The pair put in some stunning stage times including 2nd place on the final stage of the rally.

The second Brakes Direct car of Nathan Berry and Dan Lemish fought with Mick Patton and his Subaru WRX all weekend for first place in the Premier League, but had to settle for second place after setting some great stage times, the pair finished the rally in 10th outright in the 4WD Class. The EVO 6 driven by Nathan and Dan will now go back for further development and testing ahead of their next outing at Scouts Rally SA.

“Our aim this weekend was for Dane and Nathan Long to win the RAJC 4WD class and to finish with both cars in the top 10, so we are really happy with the results and as a bonus Dane set some amazing times against some very experienced competitors in much newer cars,” Nathan Berry said.

The team now head back to their base in the Yarra Valley, where preparation starts for their next round of the Bosch Australian Rally Championship.
