Sam Hill will drive a Subaru Impreza RS this weekend.Having been involved with rallying since he was five-years old, Sam started working as a Subaru technician in 1988 and worked part time with Possum Bourne Motorsport at Rally New Zealand.

He continued to work part time with Subaru Rally Team Australia in the Group N days on the cars of Possum Bourne, Cody Crocker and Dean Herridge. In 2003 he completed the original development of the first car built for the Subaru RS Challenge one-make series.

In 2004 and 2005 he was the series Technical Manager and was also crew chief for the Subaru Australia-entered car, which had new drivers at every event.

Since then he has been a co-driver for a few big name drivers, including Rob Herridge and Tom Wilde, and has had success in a number of events, including coming second outright in the Australasian Safari in a Subaru Forester.

In 2015 he competed in a Subaru Impreza RS with Mark Beard at Rally Australia, a car that was one of the original Subaru RS Challenge cars.

This weekend Sam gets the chance to get behind the wheel of an Impreza RS for the first time, and can’t wait to get the rally underway. - Series release
