SEAT – then and now at the Monte Carlo Rally

The Spanish SEAT company has entered cars in the 2017 Historic Monte Carlo Rally (25 Jan - 1st Feb) to commemorate the 1977 world championship rally.

Salvador Canellas will reunite with his co-driver Daniel Ferrater.In the 1977 event their 124 Especials, driven by Antonio Zanini and Salvador Canellas, finished third and fourth overall, their most impressive WRC result.  

For this occasion, Canellas will reunite with his co-driver, Daniel Ferrater, in a replica of the 1977 car.  

Coincidentally, Skoda commemorated the Group 2 victory by Vaclav Blahna in 1977 on the same event at the recent WRC Monte Carlo Rally. They gave their current Fabia R5 cars the same livery that their cars had featured 40 years ago.
