After the entry of 20 Word Rally Cars for last weekend’s Neste Rally Finland, only 12 WRC cars are on the list for the next world championship round, the all-asphalt Rallye Deutschland.

There will be only one non-championship Citroen, which is for Stephane Lefebvre, while among registered teams, Hayden Paddon is relegated to the secondary Hyundai team.

The event qualifies for the FIA’s Junior world championship and also the Drive DMack Fiesta Trophy.

There are 28 R5 cars including four Fabias entered by the Wevers Sport team for Dutch and Danish drivers.

The event (to run 18-21 August) signifies the start of the tarmac WRC season, which starts in Germany and then moves on to China and Corsica, before the mixed asphalt and gravel round in Spain.
