Victoria’s Reeves Racing Team, consisting of Rhianon Smythe, Nathan Reeves and younger brother Brendan Reeves, has had great success in this year’s Victorian Rally Championship.

Rhianon, who started co-driving and navigating just one year ago, has finished third in the Victorian Rally Championship after co-driving for Gavin Edwards in two VRC  events, and a further two for Brendan Reeves, to cap off a great year.

Nathan Reeves, who has been in and out of rallying for the past few years due to work commitments, has won the PRC3 category in his Datsun 1600, with Scott Spedding co-driving.

Brendan Reeves, who is also only in his first year of rallying, won the prestigious Clubman award, with co-driver Robin Smalley. Brendan competed in his Datsun 240Z and a Subaru RS throughout the year.

Despite a busy program chasing the Victorian Championship, Brendan and Rhianon have also had success at club level, with Brendan winning the Cerberus Car Club Champion award and Rhianon taking out the Runner’s-Up trophy. In addition, Rhianon has also won the 2006 Victorian Ladies Autocross Championship for the second year running.

Reeves Racing, now looks to 2007, where Rhianon and Brendan will contest the Australian Championship in their Evo 6 Lancer, while Nathan (with co-driver Scott Spedding) will enter the Victorian Rally Championship in Nathan’s new Subaru RS.
