Finnish national newspaper Helsinki Sanomat has announced that the Toyota Gazoo WRC launch is to take place on December 13 at Helsinki’s Finlandia Hall.
The paper gave more brief details of the Finland based project, saying that Tommi Makinen now employs nearly 100 people, of which about 70 are Finnish.
So far about 12,000km of testing has been carried out in Finland and southern Europe, with Makinen personally driving about 3000km.
Makinen told journalist Petter Kivimaki that the project will start with entries for two cars, with a third car due to start on the fourth round in the series in Corsica, in early April.
