Finnish national newspaper Helsinki Sanomat has announced that the Toyota Gazoo WRC launch is to take place on December 13 at Helsinki’s Finlandia Hall. Â
The paper gave more brief details of the Finland based project, saying that Tommi Makinen now employs nearly 100 people, of which about 70 are Finnish. Â
So far about 12,000km of testing has been carried out in Finland and southern Europe, with Makinen personally driving about 3000km. Â
Makinen told journalist Petter Kivimaki that the project will start with entries for two cars, with a third car due to start on the fourth round in the series in Corsica, in early April. Â - Martin Holmes
