The young rally crew of Guy Tyler and Steven Fisher are looking forward to their third appearance in the DMACK Junior British Rally Championship next week in Scotland.

They are the only Australian crew entered in the RSAC Scottish Rally, the 4th round of the BRC, and are keen to impress after a tough start to 2016.

“We haven’t had much luck on our side so far this year, with the crash in Mid Wales and the gearbox failure in Carlisle, so I desperately want to get a solid finish on the board to reward all of our hard work and the people who have supported us,” Tyler said.

Guy and Steve will again be competing in the Major Motorsport run Fiesta R2, and with 11 other DMACK Junior competitors entered and the competition is looking strong.

“Our aim for the last rally was to be the quickest Fiesta R2 1600, as the newer R2 turbos and Adam R2 cars are a lot quicker, and up until our retirement we were meeting our goal. We will again aim to do that and hopefully with a little luck, a DMACK Junior podium is the ultimate goal.”

Being one of three Australian crews to enter in the 2016 MSA British Rally Championship, Guy and Steve are the only Australians left. Rhys Pinter and Arron Windus have retuned home to focus on competing in Australian events. The crew who committed to five out of seven rounds on the BRC are proud to be the last Australians left but will miss the company of their fellow comrades.

“Last year we were the only ones representing South Australia in the Australian Rally Championship, so now to be the only Aussies in the BRC is quite a proud moment for us, and we will be working as hard as we can to do our country proud,” Fisher said.

The RSAC Scottish rally will be held on Saturday and will take in 62 miles of fast, flowing, forestry roads to the north of Dumfries. It includes the 4th round of the British Rally Championship and the 5th round of the Scottish Rally Championship.
