Former state champion, Guy Tyler, is keen to get his season underway at the upcoming opening round of the South Australian Rally Championship in just under two weeks' time. The first round of the series, will run at Mt Gambier at the popular SEAC Park Autocross track and host a field of over 30 cars.

“After a longer than usual off season I have never been more prepared and ready to go hard down in Mt Gambier,” Tyler said.

His Independent Air Solutions (IAS) Mitsubishi has had a host of upgrades over the past few months after a crash on tarmac late last year.

“I had a small bingle on the tarmac at Adelaide Rally last December, so we took the opportunity to make the car faster and stronger than ever.

“We recently ran a test day with several other South Australian crews and the car was fast and handled well," he added.

There will be plenty of other stiff competition fighting for the victory at the event including 2017 champion, Aaron Bowering, who will be keen to win his home event.

Reigning SARC Champion, Zayne Admiraal will also be there in his Subaru.

“I am so grateful that we can race with all the COVID-19 madness going on and credit has to go to the event organisers for their work in putting the event together in such difficult times.

"I'll certainly make the most of it," he concluded.

The PMD Race Products Forest Sprint will run on the 15th and 16th of August.
