Official notice from AMSAG:
Please note: Due to changes made to the Chrissport service at the conclusion of the event; we have been unable to update the final stages of the event so the results shown on Chrissport for now are not reflecting these provisional results. Once Chrissport has been re-opened we will update the times on there as well. With the suspension of Stage 2, 6 & 7 due to the FIV attendance to the McCann/McLaughlin and Quinn/Winwood-Smith incidents, the following decisions were made under section 3.2 of the 2020 AMSAG Sporting Regulations: -For Competitive Section 2, Koolonock 1, Section 3.2.2 will apply. This condition states “If a competitor completes a stage, and other competitors are denied the opportunity to complete the stage then that stage must be neutralised”.As a result of the incident involving Car 47 McCann/McLaughlin, an SOS situation arose after the crew contacted Rally Control to request FIV attendance. Due to both crew members being transported back to the Service Park for further medical treatment, there were several crews who were instructed to transport through the stage at a non-competitive pace, this denied these competitors the opportunity to complete the stage. Therefore, the times for all crews who completed this stage and the several effected competitors have been neutralised i.e. set to Zero. For the other crews who started the stage but did not finish due their own accident or mechanical breakdown their times have been deemed as Did Not Finish and have received a Maximum Time Penalty for the stage. For Competitive Section 6, Manning Hill, Section 3.2.2 will apply. As a result of the incident involving Car 1 Quinn/Winwood-Smith, an SOS situation arose due the injury to Ray Winwood-Smith where crews who stopped to provide assistance alerted Rally Control that FIV attendance was required. For the crews who stopped to provide assistance, as well as a number of crews who were unable to start the stage, this denied these competitors the opportunity to complete the stage. Therefore, the times for all crews who completed the stage, stopped to provide assistance or did not start the stage have had their times neutralised i.e. set to Zero. For the other crews who started the stage but did not finish due their own accident or mechanical breakdown their times have been deemed as Did Not Finish and have received a Maximum Time Penalty for the stage. For Competitive Section 7, Stoney Knob 2, Section 3.2.1 will apply. This condition states “Stages are to be neutralised if no competitor completes the course.”.As no crews started this stage due to the FIV being in attendance to the incident on Competitive Section 6, and it being deemed to unsafe to continue, there will be no times recorded for this stage i.e. all times are set to Zero.Based on the above decisions, the provisional results are as follows: -1st Outright – Jamie Luff & Brad Luff2nd Outright – Riley Walters & Jeffrey Williamson3rd Outright – Simon Jamieson & Luke Jamieson4th Outright – David Darby & Rodney Phillips5th Outright – Chris Jaques & Hugh TaylorThese results will remain provisional for 7 days from todays date.Any questions regarding the provisional results should be forwarded to our scorer via email to results@amsag.com.auAny questions made via any other means i.e. phone call, text message or private message via social media, will not be accepted.**Edit** It has been brought to our attention that the Classes in the results have gone awry. This is due to an error in a formula when the sheet was sorted. We will have this rectified in the finalised results.
