20-year old Norwegian driver, Ole Christian Veiby, has been chosen by Skoda Motorsport as their number two driver in the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship, and will compete in both New Zealand and Australia in the next two months.

Ole Christian Veiby (right) and co-driver Stig Rune Skjaermoen.Veiby will be teammate to reigning champion Gaurav Gill.  He replaces Fabian Kreim who drove with the team in 2016.

Veiby and Gill are to compete in the six rounds of the APRC series, which starts the last weekend in April at the Rally of Whangarei, in the North Island of New Zealand.

The Even Management team have announced that Veiby is “Now Norway’s only works driver” in rallying, remembering that Mads Ostberg is now running in the OneBet Jipocar team, and that former VW driver, Andreas Mikkelsen, is waiting for news how he will be able to return to full time WRC rallying.

Even Management also work with the Finnish driver, Esapekka Lappi, and state that detailed plans about Lappi’s WRC programme with Toyota Gazoo Racing are expected soon.
