Mads Østberg returned home from Sardinia before the start of the WRC event to head a Fiesta R5 1-2-3 at the Aurskog-Høland Rally.   

Mads Ostberg.Leader at half distance, however, was Per-Gunnar Andersson in a Skoda WRC, but he then spun, impacted a bale and broke a driveshaft.

The Rally America championship Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally in Pennsylvania was won by David Higgins for a sixth time.  His Subaru teammate Travis Pastrana rolled off the road.

The Singh Subaru Impreza brother drivers finished 1-2 on the ARC Zambia Rally last weekend, 23 year old Jassy beating his 21 year old brother Muna by 21 seconds.  

Only two ARC registered drivers finished, and Muna is now lying second in the series after three rounds, four points behind the Kenyan driver Don Smith.  Six Subarus finished in the top seven places.

The New Zealand championship Canterbury Rally was won by Emma Gilmour in her special national  Extreme formula Suzuki based rally car, the first lady driver to win an event in that series.

Mark Higgins took nearly two minutes off his previous record time for a four wheel car round the 37 mile TT motorcycle race course on the Isle of Man, immediately setting a time with an average speed of 126mph.

The first day of the Spanish asphalt championship Rallye Cantabria Santander was halted when a Mitsubishi went into the crowd, injuring 11 spectators, requiring the organisers to ask all the medical teams around the route to help at the accident scene.  

The event restarted the next day when Repsol driver Cristian Garcia in another Mitsubishi won his fourth event of the season,

DMack’s WRC driver Ott Tanak is to enter the ERC Ypres Rally (23-25 June) in order to try out their new asphalt tyres on an R5 car.  

Hyundai Motorsport will also be there, running a prototype i20 R5 as a course car, in the hands of Kevin Abbring.
