Fans of classic rally cars with a real history will be eagerly calling their bank managers for the chance to purchase the Datsun Stanza that George Fury and Monty Suffern drove to victory in the 1979 Southern Cross International Rally.

The car has been lovingly restored in the UK, after being purchased from Australia in 1996, and is now for sale. The current owner is hoping the car makes its way back Down Under.

The asking price is over £40,000, but for classic rally car buffs, this may not be a deterrent.
