Young Queensland driver, Tim Dillon, has taken out Round 4 of the Queensland Silverstone Gemini Series by a margin of just over one minute. Dillon and his father, Adrian, edged out Ed Williams and Jo Brennard in their Pat Kennedy Rally Centre TE Gemini, and Cameron Sluce/Charlie McAlister who were third.

The round was again contested in the Jimna State Forest and run in conjunction with the KCF Rally Series.

Drama unfolded early in the event when Series favourite Kent Lawrence’s Gemini slipped off the edge of a tricky downhill right-hander in the second stage. In the following stage, Tim’s older brother, Nataneil, gently rolled his Beaurepaires Toowoomba TX Gemini, causing enough damage to prevent any further competition.

With two rounds to go, five drivers are still in with a chance of taking out this fiercely contested series, however Cameron Sluce will be leaving the series after purchasing Dean Herridge’s Subaru RS recce car.
