The next event for Brisbane's NDSCC will be round three of the Albion Motorsports, Sprintmaster series at Yarraman, on June 26.
This will be a very special event for the SOR Team who will have a very special person navigating in the Devil Ute. Joseph Fitton has been part of the SOR Team for many years and is their greatest supporter. Joe has an intellectual disability and relies on the Endeavour Foundation for day to day employment, education and skills training.
Through close consultation and planning with the NDSCC, the team have been able to carefully plan the event so that Joe can navigate and compete in a full-on car rally, something that could well be an Australian first.
Joe is extremely enthusiastic about rallying and loves everyone he gets to meet out in the forest. Now something that could only ever have been a dream for him, is soon to become a reality.
It has been an amazing team effort to pull all this together, but one that will have huge rewards for all involved.
