Japanese lady co-driver, Sayaka Adachi, winning co-driver of 13 rounds of the Japanese national championship with champion driver Norihiko Katsuta, is to return to Europe, resuming a programme in which she had previously co-driven Norihiko’s son Takamoto. Â
Sayaka AdachiThis will be part of the new Toyota Gazoo Rally Challenge project. She will now co-drive Jarkko Nikara in the seven round Finnish championship this year in a Subaru. Â
30-year old Nikara was part of the WRC Pirelli Star Driver team in 2009, but otherwise has little rallying experience outside his native Finland. Â
The best result of his career, however, was finishing fifth on the 2012 Catalunya Rally in a Mini WRC. Â - Martin Holmes
