With the continuing wet weather along the NSW coast, this year’s State Rallysprint Series has been affected with only two of the five rounds being conducted.

The final round was to be held at the Central North Coast Sporting Car Club’s Nabiac complex on the August 28 with the registered crews looking forward to the challenge as the series was still open with different winners at the events contested so far.

The club advised the NSW Rally Panel that they were not in a position to conduct the Rallysprint with sections of the course being covered with 30cm of water and no chance that the course would dry out by the end of August.

With much discussion the Club has approached the Rally Panel with a proposal to hold the Rallysprint in the Coopernook State Forest, on the November 19.

The Rallysprint will consist of two sections, contested 3 times in each direction with a central service park. Once again the NSW Rallysprint Series is in the balance with three drivers in a position to clinch the Series.
