The first round of the 2007 Silverstone Tyres Gemini Rally Series has been run and won in Queensland by Cameron Sluce in his TX Gemini.
The event took place in the Jimna State Forest as a round of the KCF Short Course Rally Series. Three different drivers achieved fastest stage times with only seconds separating the seven eligible crews.
On stage four, over seven kilometres, only 11 seconds separated five crews. Overall Sluce and navigator Charlie McAllister came out on top with new driver Myles Frost and co-driver Jamie Macfarlane finishing second.
Ed Williams and Joseph Brennand in their EcoGas supported TE finished third.
The next round of the series will be conducted in northern New South Wales at Urbenville on April 28. The Gold Coast Tweed Sporting Car Club will conduct this event.
