Semmens wins Spring 200

Brian Semmens and Dan Parry put an end to their run of bad luck by winning last Saturday’s Spring 200 Rally held in the Alexandra area of north east Victoria.

Driving their potent Nissan 200SX, Semmens and Parry held out Wayne and Kim Stewart (Subaru WRX) for second place, and Bernard Miron/Alan McKay who were third, also in a WRX. Rounding out the top five were Andrew Taylor/Ben Courtney (Mazda RX7) and Doug Fernie/Robin Smalley (Datsun 1600).

The event attracted over 60 crews and was conducted in dusty but cold conditions in one of Victoria’s favourite rally areas. While much-needed rain was expected during the event, the weather remained dry and there were even slight snow showers to keep crews on their toes.
